On September 7th, 2020, due to the ongoing lockdown in the state of Victoria and the progress being made with the building project, an impromptu foundation stone ceremony was held without being able to invite people to join us for the occasion. The president of the monastery committee and the construction workers themselves were the only representatives of our wider community present, but the event was live-streamed on Facebook Live for people to be able to witness the event together with us.

 

The monastic Sangha led by Ajahn Hāsapañño chanted auspicious verses on the Triple Gem after receiving a symbolic offering of ‘cast-off’ cloth. This was followed by the interring of holy, auspicious and valuable items in the foundation stone box. These items included relics of the Lord Buddha; relics of Luangta Mahā Boowa and Luang Pu Chah; the 9 traditionally auspicious types of wood; gold, silver and bronze blocks; gold, silver and bronze sheets inscribed with sacred verses and aspirations; many other items of pūjā and respect; also included were flowers and roasted rice in following the ancient Thai tradition as closely as possible.

 

After everything was carefully interred in the foundation stone, the box was lowered into a cavity under the foundations that will be directly below the shrine and the main Buddha-image of the Hermitage.

 

Vimokkharam Forest Hermitage would like to invite Buddhists and all people with faith to delight in this occasion. May the reconstruction of the Hermitage succeed fully in every way!

 

 

เมื่อวันที่ ๗ กันยายน พ.ศ. ๒๕๖๓ วัดป่าวิโมกขารามได้จัดพิธีปฐมฤกษ์ก่อสร้างศาลา โดยใช้ฤกษ์สะดวก เนื่องด้วยภาวะล็อคดาวน์ของรัฐวิคตอเรีย และการก่อสร้างได้เริ่มขึ้นแล้ว จึงไม่สามารถมีผู้ร่วมพิธีได้ มีเพียงประธานคณะกรรมการวัด และผู้จัดการการก่อสร้าง เป็นตัวแทนเท่านั้น แต่ทั้งนี้ได้มีการถ่ายทอดสดพิธีผ่านเฟชบุ๊กไลฟ์ให้ได้ชมกัน

 

พระอาจารย์หาสปัญโญ เจ้าอาวาส เป็นผู้นำทำพิธีเจริญพระพุทธมนต์ หลังจากนั้นได้ชักผ้าบังสุกุล ใส่สิ่งของมงคลลงในกล่อง ซึ่งประกอบด้วย พระบรมสารีริกธาตุ, พระธาตุหลวงตามหาบัว ญาณสัมปันโน, พระธาตุหลวงปู่ชา สุภัทโท, ไม้มงคล ๙ ชนิด, อิฐมงคลสีทอง นาก และเงิน, แผ่นจารึกเงินและทองแดง, แก้วแหวนเงินทองของมีค่าจากที่มีผู้ถวายเพื่อเป็นพุทธบูชา และข้าวตอกดอกไม้ ทั้งนี้เพื่อให้พิธีใกล้เคียงกับประเพณีไทยแต่โบราณให้มากที่สุด

 

หลังจากบรรจุสิ่งของลงในกล่องเรียบร้อย ได้ฝังกล่องลงในหลุมบริเวณที่ตรงกับฐานที่ตั้งของพระประธานพอดี
